stonedsour's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Colder By Contrast When birds may cease the singing of their song And falling night may make the shadows long- When daylight's tomb is slowly sealed tight, Fear not the coming darkness of the night. When on his pyre the sun of God is lain, The sky consumed by immolating flame- When moonlight pays respect as day's life wanes, Remorseful as it down from heaven rains- When warmth is gone, confusumed by cold unknowns That draw the chill down deep into your bones- When shadow pulls the world to its breast Remember that, like day, the night is blessed. And though the glories of the day have passed, The night is only colder by contrast. 1:20 p.m. - 2004-06-28 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
